"We gave gifts and sang songs, but it was as if the songs and the gifts were just the excuse we
used to be close to each other. Now I have only to touch my experience of The Holiday Project to have the holiday season be the way I always wanted it to be." - a Volunteer |

What We Do
Each year, more than three million people spend their holidays confined to institutions. Many have outlived their relatives and friends or for
some, those people have moved far away. Life for some of these people is often a lonely experience with few opportunities to make a difference. At the same time, many other people look for
ways to make their holidays more fulfilling ... ways to return themselves to the true spirit of the season. The Holiday Project provides an opportunity that satisfies both these needs.
Legal Stuff
The Holiday Project was incorporated in July 1980 in California as a nonprofit public benefit corporation.

The Holiday Project is operated by the National Board of Directors. The national office consists of an Executive Director. Other than the Executive
Director, who is a part time employee, all other officials of The Holiday Project are volunteers who serve without compensation. Funds to operate The Holiday Project are raised at the
local level and are augmented by several National Fund raising events. Tell Me More
